Nash Junior Academy, France, 2016

LOOKING for something a little different to do this year? Why not book up for a week’s parent and child carp fishing break in the south of France?

Following its success last year you’ve got another chance to book up for the week long Nash Junior Academy at top venue Etang de la Carpe d’Or that holds carp to a giant 70 lb.

Run by Nash Team France member and BPJEPS qualified fishing instructor Barry Sewell between April 3rd to April 9th it’s a chance to get hands on for a week with Nash kit, with all your Nashbait boilies and particle supplied. All you need to do is bring a sleeping bag, clothes and a head torch!

This unique event for three parent and child pairs is an all-inclusive week where people can use of some of the latest kit from Nash, including the Scopes and Sawn-Offs through to hardwear like bivvies and bedchairs,’ explained Barry.

‘Bait is all supplied along with 24-hour around-the-clock instruction and tuition, there’s bankside lodging, an undercover eating area, shower, toilets, barbecue and even a giant flat screen for watching DVDs in the evenings. All meals and soft drinks are also included.’

Flights are not included, but transfers to and from Bergerac, Bordeaux, or Limoges airports can be arranged. Places are allocated on a first come-first served basis, and go VERY, VERY quickly!

‘Catching fish is always the thrill, especially for people who have never fished abroad before but there’s a lot of other fun stuff – everyone enjoys learning to use the boats and fish finders as well as the casting and rig tuition,’ said Barry. ‘It’s a great experience, everyone mucking in together at mealtimes, helping each other catch fish and improve their skills.’

Etang de la Carpe d’Or is a 12 acre sand quarry with carp to 70 lb and good numbers of 30s, 40s, and even 50-pounders too.
