This week joining Hassan is the larger then life character, carp fishing hall of fame and all round legend that is Derek "The Don" Ritchie.

In this podcast Derek talks through the significant chapters in his early years. Its fair to say he has had an incredibly varied and eventful life both in and out of carp fishing and he shares so many stories that will have you crying with laughter as well as astonished at the amount of big carp he has caught from iconic waters.

Derek shares openly his exploits from catching the Essex carp record in 1976, through to almost becoming a full time tope angler before turning back to his life long passion of carp fishing. Along the way he talks about various venues including Lakelands, Cleverley Mere, Averly, Conningbrooke and don't miss an incredible no holds barred dive into the craziness of The Essex Manor. There's a huge host on incredible historic carp caught to with fish such as Hendrix, The Amphibian and The Friendly Mirror to name but a few.

This podcast has to be (as Derek is) one of the most open, funny and down right crazy in parts carp fishing podcast to date. One things for sure, there's only one Derek "The Don" Ritchie
