Nash Tackle’s Alan Blair and Colin Davidson were privileged to help stock another 100 hand picked carp into Hampshire’s day ticket Longbridge Lakes near Romsey during a recent trip to a neighbouring part of the River Test.

The final consignment of carp in a six month restocking programme at the well known day ticket fishery takes the carp stock back to over 250 fish in three acres, making it an ideal venue for plenty of action.

‘There’s a really nice spread of very scaley carp and also commons, the biggest around 25 lb,’ said fishery manager Jon Hall. ‘We’ve also ensured there are numbers of ghost carp as Longbridge has always been renowned for them.’

The venue was tragically hit by KHV in 2014, along with several other fisheries in the area following widespread flooding the previous winter.

‘It was heartbreaking especially with Longbridge being such an historic venue, but after a lot of hard work and investment the fish we have now will ensure the venue has a brighter future than ever before.

'It’s full of hand picked, fast growing carp that will make a lot of anglers very happy, it’s a great winter fishery, a great floater venue in the warmer months and also offers lots of fun for stalking fans, concluded Jon.

Tickets are on the bank, £10 per day or £16 per 24 hours.
